ASSISE is concept work with no real client brief behind it: a fictional interior-architecture studio site built to pass the referred client's second look. The imagery is representative; none of the projects is a real commission.
Architecture and design-build firms mostly win work by referral. The referred client arrives at the website not as a lead but to verify: is this the firm I was told about, have they done something like my project, who is in charge? ASSISE was built to show how a site answers those three questions.
A project archive filed by type (residential, hospitality, commercial), location and year, each project with a purpose, a material system and one decision worth explaining. Material detail pages (oak, plaster, travertine) describe the studio's language. The studio page states what the firm takes on and what it does not. Typography, negative space and slow motion carry the site the way they carry the work; there is no feature list.
That an architecture firm's website can be organised around a client with a similar brief finding a precedent in two clicks, rather than around the most spectacular project.
